- having written 2 research papers on Power Rangers and interviewed dozens of the actual target demographic i get the same question over and over "do you have the rest of the team" ie the girl. To Young boys and girls it isn't even about who has a penis or not. They want the full team, they want a complete team. THEY WANT TO BUY THE FEMALE RANGER why can't Bandai see there is a Obvious market and red loading their packets. Yess when you sell a case to TRU with 5 reds, 3 blues, 2 green,s and one pink and yellow of the SMF team OF COUSE the girls wont sell well to just put /2/ of each on shelves TRU has to make room for /10/ reds, 6 blues, and 4 greens. This is Marketing 101 put the shelf warming reds out front so that you can clear shelf space.

- I was six when MMPR began, and today I'm 27. It's very shocking to see so few (and I mean FEW!) female toys and so little merchandise on the shelves. The Power Rangers are a *team* and need to be represented that way! Each ranger is important and integral in his or her own way. I haven't seen every season, but I love them all regardless.
It seems to me that Saban, Toei, and Bandai could make a lot more money (as it seems to be what's most important to them) by catering to the female fans, as well as the male. We need to show this generation's girls that they can be powerful, strong, and courageous...and that they can even change the world.

- Well I'm 12 years old and I like power ranger I don't know why we don't get the girls in sets but the reason I want female so we can get the whole team like in dino charge I don't know why they turned pink into purple or at least I hope they come out with another that's pink

- I am as big of a fan of male rangers as I am of female rangers, but I honestly think they should start making more female ranger merchandise, because I'm pretty sure little girls who like the show want a yellow ranger notebook (etc). but i think they make more male merchandise because female merchandise because the show is aimed for boys, but over the past 20 years so many girls all over the world have watched the show and they also want female merchandise.

- I find it so sad that outside of the main figures, female rangers get the boot when it comes to toys and other products. There have been so many female rangers who aren't only beautiful but quite badass, like Jen from Time Force, Kira from DinoThunder and Z from SPD just to name a few. Female Rangers have shown that just because you're a girl, doesn't mean you can't kick evil butt right along with the guys. As a guy, I am not ashamed to buy products based on the female rangers, I wasn't as a kid and im still not as an adult. Equality Power!

- As a girl growing up, I loved the female rangers. They were some of my heroes growing up. Now that I'm older, I'm concerned that my gender is being erased.
I remember a lot of merchandise growing up that had everyone. Hell, I had a full Zeo set and the female rangers were not that hard to find. Now I look in the toy aisle and it's hard to find them. They don't even get ranger keys! It's like their characters didn't even matter in the franchise.
Girls do buy action figures. Girls watch Power Rangers. Boys buy female action figures(and sometimes female rangers are their favorite!). It upsets me that a franchise that normally can do a good job with female representation is doing this.

- I remember as a kid I had a few girl ranger figures, of course back then I was made fun of because six year old boys don't play with "girl" toys. That was in 1996, and it is amazing that the sexist ideas girl figures is getting worse for PR. Girls of all ages watch Power Rangers and the girl toys deserve the same amount as the males. We need more legit girl and non-sexy costumes for women and grow the fandom to be more fair.

- It's ridiculous to think Power Ranger girls don't deserve toys because they won't sell. Power Ranger girls are some of the best role models for girls to be strong, intelligent, and leaders in a world with too few role models. Just because a girl wears pink or yellow doesn't mean they can't kick evil butt!

- A ranger is consist of girls & boys (except sun vulcan) so a team is not perfect withou the girls... the less merchandise would also discourage the girls who love the series. they boys will be teasing them and they would avert their eyes from the show. more girls merchandise means new perspective and new target market. if Japan could do this why not the american?

- May I just say how idiotic Bandai's belief is that girls toys wont sell, no wonder when they release hardly any toys for the girls, if this gets any worse the only way we will be able to get female ranger figures is in two packs with male rangers but only as small figurines. I'm starting to believe the only reason they release the little number of female figures and weapons is for the sake of completeness. The female rangers should be better advertised and have more ranger keys is what i wish the people at Bandai are thinking, the people at Bandai should listen more to what the fans have to say and expand their ideas of demographics.
